Please pray for Jon.

My cousin Jon Thomann has been in the hospital the last week. He fell down a flight of concrete stairs and did some major damage to his head that required brain surgery. He has not fully become consious yet, but there are indications that he is becoming more active. This has been a trying time and has been hard on all of us.

Please pray for his recovery. If you would like to know more about his current situation, his girlfriend, parents and brother are keeping us all updated with this website/blog:

Howdy.

By now, if you've seen all the other blogs in my full profile, you know I've got a lot of different pots boiling in the kitchen. I have many artsy ideas and love to start new projects. Sometimes, that's a problem since it can keep me from completing projects as well as I'd like...but silmutaneously, this keeps me from getting bored with any one thing, and also keeps me energized and wanting to do more... Anyways, this blog is going to be a sort of portfolio builder for me. I'm planning to use it to do some artwork that's based on or is illustrating concepts, themes, or ideas from Public Domain literature, and/or artwork. I would like to eventually become a free-lance or studio-based illustrator, among other things... This is sort of one step towards that. I'll probably pull my inspiration for this stuff from the text files over at Project Gutenburg, among other places. I have another blog that's based on video works that does something similar that's working with video and audio from Public Domain sources such as the Prelinger Archives. The stuff in this blog, unlike in that one, is more 2 dimensional, and more "traditional art" and illustration than multi-media.
